In response to the nurse that does night shift, I too am a night shift nurse. I know I’m killing my body with this shift, but I have done it for 30 years and am happiest on it. I have tried other shifts and hate them. Thank you so much for ways to keep a little healthier. I now know I should be more attentive in my diet . I was running frequently and didn’t realize it would cut into my health. I thought it was good for me. I already have a trainer and go to the gym at least 4 times a week. He bugs me constantly to get off night shift and I actually did for a year and ended up hating going to work. After listening to your podcast, I will be walking – not running. Love your podcasts! I’m with ya. I’m a cop. Been on night shift almost my whole career. I enjoy working nights and have always been a night owl, even as a teenager. Just wanted you to know you’re not alone.
